Adrienne Arsht Center of Miami’s Heritage Month Goes Virtual for 2021
It’s Black History Month, and the theme for 2021 is “The Black Family: Representation, Identity, and Diversity.” The Adrienne Arsht Center of Miami is hosting its Heritage Festival this February with the same theme as a way to honor Black History Month. But this year, it will be held entirely online.
The event begins streaming at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 20th, and it will be all about supporting and celebrating artists from the African Diaspora here in the Miami-Dade area. The day will begin with mini-concerts followed by self-care and styling tutorials, a virtual tour of a Black-owned art gallery, dance performances, and more. There will even be a podcast specific to Miami’s Pan-African history, as well as a chance to make your own work of art guided by a professional. The event is free to attend and will stream on the Heritage Festival’s website, the Arsht Center’s YouTube channel, and its Facebook page.
